Not quite 100% Knot Strength

If you cruise YouTube as much as I do you may have seen this video illustrating an easy-to-tie knot with 100% strength. Since knots are always the weak point in any fishing attempt, I was all over this.
I've been trying this knot for months and, although I hate to be a bad guy, I just don't think it works!
I'll admit that I may have misinterpreted the in instructions and tied the knot wrong but, I had a friend look at the vid and then my knot and he was satisfied I was doing things right.
I tried using 10lb. Suffix Mono, 14lb Fireline Braid, and 12 lb. Vanish Fluorocarbon.
I'm not a big Fluorocarbon guy, but I thought it was worth a try. Keeping the previous statement in mind, I made several attempts before ruling out Fluorocarbon. The line slipped a couple of times, it broke more than once and the knot itself snapped the first time I tried. This may have been due to my own lack of experience with FC so, as I stated, I made several tries.
I was REALLY disappointed when I tried braided line. Despite the friction, the knot slipped with very little pressure. To be honest, the knot slipped so soon that I didn't even bother looking at the gauge.
Mono-filament line almost worked. When I got near the maximum weight of the line, the knot began slipping. Since I was close, I tried a couple more times and even tried it without moistening the knot with a bit of saliva like you supposed to do. No matter what--it slipped.
Like I said, I hate to be a bad guy but, if we were watching TV and this was "Myth Busters", I'd have to say the myth of 100% Knot Strength is busted!
