A good way to prevent line breakage

It sound gross but after you get a snag or battle a heavy fish, take the last couple feet of your line and run it between your lips to check for nicks.

Your lips are going to be a LOT more sensitive than your fingers.

If you feel something, cut the line and retie everything!
