A sinker from nature

July 2nd 2008 00:49
It's a well documented fact that lead is not the best thing for the environment.

Despite this, many sinkers and jigs are still made from lead and thrown by anglers all over the world.

Here are some instructions I found on making sinkers from SAND.

So far, I've found a few points that are not covered in the link:

* For convenience and quality, the containers are best made on a sewing machine.

* It's advisable to use NYLON thread because of the added strength and durability.

*
The stitches should be close together to keep the sand from pouring out.

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!
