A video on soft stick baits
December 2nd 2008 00:41
Here's a video on soft stick baits--maybe you call them Senkos.
Although I don't know why they're such good baits, there must be a scientific reason! Maybe fish look at them and think, "Oh boy, a fat worm!"
Like all good baits, there have been days where I really crashed and burned with them! I think most of the battle is discovering the right color. After I learned how to use them, they're a pretty good bait. Regardless of the manufacturer, lighter shades of brown usually work for me although, as always, I want to point out that colors I use may not work in your area! For instance, I generally advocate lighter colors for clear water and that usually works for me although there have been days where I wished I was using something else. On the other hand, soft sicks are convenient because they're heavy enough to get a good cast from spinning equipment.

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!
