A little bassin' info

I know that bass aren't found all over but, I live in the States and bass fishing is pretty popular--especially around here! AND since most of the fish I've caught are bass, I though I'd better share a little information with the world.
Let's start out with a mantra I always repeat--Dark or black lures are good for overcast and night fishing. Light and bright to chartreuse colored lures are usually good on a bright sunny day. Along those lines, I never discount a reflective lure but, be sure to use them on sunny days or you'll just reflect the dull surroundings.
When using poppers or chuggers, always let them set a few seconds before you start reeling. That lets the disturbance of the lure hitting the water subside.
A spinnerbait can be tested next to your boat or along the shore to see how fast you need to crank your reel to provide the best action.

When it's hot, bass are usually down deep. Try divers to get down or a heavy spinnerbait to get where they are lurking. When the waters are warm they are less aggressive and tend to move more slowly.
Lastly, make it easy on yourself and make sure you search for bass in areas where they can hide such as stumps, big rocks or grassy areas in coves.
These are some quick ideas that may help the next time you get down to you favorite fishin' hole!
