Bassmaster inequity
September 12th 2007 00:29
This will probably stroke someone's fur the wrong way but...
I knew about this before anglingfish was even an idea. I figured that maybe I'd get over it sooner or later but, the more I write, the more I think about it. I've thought about it quite a bit and keep coming up with the same question--
WHY?
Back in the early part of 2007 Boyd Duckett won the Bassmaster Classic and pocketed $500,000. This sounds like a pretty hefty chunk of change but, there's a lot of hidden expenses on the tour so I said, "More power to him."
Around the same time, the inaugural WOMEN'S Bassmaster Classic was held. Winner Pam Martin-Wells took home a Trition-Mercury boat/motor rig valued at $60,000 along with a purse of $10,000.
WHY?
Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

I was thinking I would find nothing to relate to since the one and only time I went fishing was at a trout farm and I FAILED TO CATCH A FISH. I hear that I did the virtual impossible.
Anyway, I was wrong about the former, because I am very much interested in this post, and am echoing your own "WHY?" wholeheartedly. It makes absolutely no sense to me, but this is something that is very prevalent.
Nice post James.
