Easy chum

March 11th 2011 01:27
Chumming for freshwater fish is illegal is some areas and legal in others. Here's a tip you can use at your own discretion!

A good, non-gross chum for catfish is a simple can of dog-food.

Simply take a nail or your knife and put a few holes in the can so the scent will get into the water and toss it into the area where you plan to fish.

It doesn't matter what brand of dog-food you use or how much it costs. The cheaper--the better is my way of thought. If you want to worry about anything, make sure the dog-food has an odor. Catfish will think of it as an aroma!

Next time you stop at the store to pick up some chicken livers, invest just a little more and get a can of dog-food to go with it!

Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!
