Eating live fish

This video may not be gross but, I'm sure you'll agree the thought is!

The video shows diners in China eating living, breathing carp! To keep the fish alive, cooks wrap the head in a wet cloth and the fire up the griddle to cook the body before they place it on a plate and cover it with sauce.

The thing that gets me the most is the way diners poke and prod at the poor creature before picking it apart with their chopsticks, all the while, laughing and enjoying themselves.

Watch for yourself--you've been warned!

This video was submitted to Youtube November 17 and became an instant hit. In fact, the next day Daily India.com reported there were already 120, 000 hits for the repulsive video.

Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!

I can't understand how anyone would get more enjoyment out of eating the fish while it was alive. Pretty cruel really.

I remember reading a few years back about New York dinners at some restaurant having live crayfish (or was it lobster?) served at their table to be eaten ...
It's the fish eye that gets to me, it stares you down!

People just keep amazing me with new ways in which they can be disgusting. Eating live animals is truly grotesque, and I agree with Janet in that it's unnecessarily cruel.

Thanks for posting it though James, that was quite the eye-opener.

Thanks for understanding. I almost didn't post this because I was afraid people would think I was playing a sensational angle.

A while back a guy posted about sharkfin soup. This may be as bad if not worse. I'm still dwelling on it. Pretty bad at any rate!

This is animal cruelty why the fuck would people do this, im sorry but this is really inhumane, that fish is still a living thing im a self chosen vegetarian but i am fine that people do eat meat, but eating live fish is animal abuse and should be against the law. PLEASE do not do this! or anything that has animal abuse.
