Some fish evolve more slowly than others

Here's a pretty neat article I ran across the other day.

Theory has it that predatory fish, those primarily eating other fish, evolve more slowly than those eating insects or plant life. In fact many species are almost at a standstill!


This helps explain why documentaries, such as those dealing with sharks, often have a line like, "...eating machines that have changed little since the dawn of man."



Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!
