Okay, I'll admit it sounds like a made-up name but, I was feeling lazy Saturday and watched some of those fishing guys on TV.
Since I'm not too fond of TV anglers, I wanted to watch something different and decided to give Fish Fishburne a half hour of my time and I'm glad I did! I came away with a little knowledge and a smile on my face!

The website for The Fish Fishburne Show sums it up quite nicely--The show takes a completely different look into fishing, life and other meaningful morsels of outdoor fun! I can't add much to that only to say the emphasis is on "fun"!
Unlike most fishing programs where you have one or two good ole boys wetting a line and swapping tales about their favorite bait or line(meaning sponsor), Fish Fishburne takes a more irreverent look at the sport while teaching you a thing or two. For instance, today I learned how to pull up a fish while elevated from the water's edge. That comes in handy for piers and the like. Fish did it from a hunting stand but you get the idea! There's a method to his madness.
Claude (his real name) Fishburne's career achievements include 12 years as a B.A.S.S. angler, a 2-time tournament champion, and a 4-time Bass Master Classic participant. Giving up the rod, he gained further national celebrity as host of "ESPN's BassMasters," host of "ESPN Outdoors," and as the popular emcee and star of The Nashville Network's "Go Fish" television series. (TNN later became VERSUS but that's another story.)
There's video on the website but I thought you may need this to get an idea of what the show is like.
I suppose some purists may be offended by Fish's antics but I think it's just what the sport needs. Some of those rednecks need to lighten up!
Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!
