There's an old saying--"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade." That's exactly what Claudia Espensheid did after her life was disrupted by Hurricane Ivan. In just a short time, she helped form Fishin' Chix, an organization that has grown to have fishing tournaments as well its own clothing line and donate profits to a local hospice!

I first became aware of Fishin' Chix after a friend brought a magazine article to my attention. I read the article, looked them up online and checked out their website.

Fishin' Chix represents what I've always tried to espouse. They show that fishing is more than (as I always say) a bunch of good ol' boys goin' down to the crick. AND unlike some fishing websites, fishinchix.com is colorful, vibrant, and entertaining. I advise anyone needing a shot of adrenalin to check it out!

I always try and stay away from localized organizations and activities so, what the heck am I doing writing about a Pensacola, Florida organization? I'll admit it--I'M HOOKED! (No pun intended!) Check out their website and I think you will be too!

Fishin Chix not only has members in the Pensacola area. Its membership has swollen to include several states as well as Canada. This is one club that's going international!
