How much will tuna cost?

The last time you went to the grocery store, how much did you pay for a can of tuna?
Recently some Japanese paid $177,000 for a 513 lb. tuna.
Here's the whole story from the New York Daily News.
According to the article, Japan accounts for 80% of the Atlantic and Pacific bluefin tuna consumption. Why they eat it raw for sushi is something I just can't figure!
This may sound racist but, you have to hand it to Asians--they're not afraid to shell out a few bucks for their fish. A while back I wrote about a Chinese restaurateur who paid $75,000 for a golden tiger fish on the hopes the lucky fish would bring his restaurant luck.

Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!
