Angling Fish - by James Rickard

All about the lure--Bud Light

October 20th 2008 06:10
Here's the best 30 seconds you'll have all day!

I saw this for the first time a while back during a football game and nearly lost it!

When you think about it, alien abduction is so similar to fishing it's scary.

>You're captured by a different species.
>You're in a world foreign to yours.
>Everyone wants to put you on display!

All it takes is the right lure--

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

Watch this guy!

May 26th 2008 00:33
Back in the 80's I watched a movie called Valley Girl and was blown away by Nicholas Cage. I watched that movie a couple of times and knew, right then and there, that he was headed for great things. (I'd say he's made a name for himself in the past 25 years!)

I predict it again for the guy wearing sunglasses in this commercial. I don't know WHO he is or anything about him! At any rate his reaction to the flying arm and his ensuing line plus the gesture and expression puts him above most commercial actors.

Brad Paisley
Music fans are probably not going to be looking on a fishing blog to read about Brad Paisley. Maybe they should. Did you know that among his many humanitarian activities, Brad is also founder of a celebrity fishing tournament which benefits St. Jude Hospital? I figured he was just another country singer until I dug a little deeper and found out that he’s from my home state—West Virginia. BUT when I discovered that he’s been named for the same humanitarian award TWICE in less than five years I though he deserved a little attention.

With the profits from the first song he wrote, instead of taking the lead of many celebrities and spending the money on drugs, booze or cars, Paisley bought a fishing boat. Later, in 2000, the Brad Paisley Foundation was launched to benefit charities near his hometown. As a result, a student from Brad's alma mater in West Virginia was able to attend the Julliard School of Music in New York City and the Glen Dale (Brad's home town) United Methodist Church was able to rebuild after a devastating fire because of his generosity.
