Getting a bite in the night
July 11th 2008 01:07
Sometimes it's hard to know when you have a bite when you're fishing in the dark!
Sure, there are bells or chemical "light sticks" that you can hang on your rod that react to every movement. But, what happens if you're fishing when the stores are closed?
Take a drinking straw and paint it with glow-in-the-dark paint. Then, all you have to do is slice the straw and use a portion the right size to fit between your rod tip and the first line guide.
You suddenly have a rod made for fishing at night and you'll know if there's any disturbance at the end of your line!

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

It's better than trying to use the glow from your watch!
