I've made a couple bucks from my friends be replacing their fishing rod tips. However, if a product from Bent Rod Tackle catches on, I'll be out of business!

Think about it--your rod tips takes a lot of abuse. They scrape against the ceiling, get closed up in car doors, and who knows what else.
With the GRIP TIP you have insurance against a broken or lost rod tip. Gone are the days when you had to chop off the last few inches of your rod and ruin the action in the process. The thing I really like about the GRIP TIP is that it's one size fits all. Measuring conventional rod tips is very precise. If you're off even half a millimeter, you've goofed. You could try to line your new tip with tape or use lots of glue to take up the slack but, that often compromises strength and adhesion.
