Hook setting tip

January 2nd 2009 02:08

Here's a video from YouTube illustrating the two most commonly used methods for hook setting--the snap set and pull set.

Unfortunately, I'm a snap set man but, I hope to change that in 2009.

Despite what I just admitted, in my opinion, a pull set is better because a snap set may rip the hook out of the mouth of a poorly hooked fish.

Until next time--watch your line and watch yourself!
