Jugging--it's not about boobs!

Here's a clip about a fun way to fish. It's called JUGGING.
Jugging is taking a line, tying it to a drink bottle or something else that floats, and at the other end having a circle hook. Then, you throw it into the water to catch fish. The nice thing about this method of fishing is that you get to zip around in your boat and pick up the floats when you catch a fish!
Back in the day they used glass bottles sealed with corn cobs. I can just see some wino polishing off a bottle of whiskey, tossing his empty and then roasting fish on an open fire. Now a days, since bottled water is so popular, the bottles are often used but other popular floats are bleach jugs, soda bottles, or cut up "noodles" like kids use at pools.
You'll probably want to attach 4-5 feet of heavy line to your float. The exact length depends on what you're trying to hook and where you are. Bait will depend on what you're after. Jugging is popular with catfish anglers and they often use chicken liver or night crawlers.
Jugging is best done in lakes or ponds where you don't have to worry about a current. If you decide to give it a shot in a river or creek, try a day when the current is slow and if you still notice your float going downstream, try adding some some sand or gravel to your float. Self respecting anglers always have a few extra sinkers, so, you may want to try these. Just remember to get them back when you're done!
Jugging can be a lot of fun. BUT, MAKE SURE IT'S LEGAL IN YOUR AREA! And, don't forget to take those plastic bottles home.
