Like any fishing, one of the keys to surf fishing is getting to where the fish are. That often means super long casts to get beyond breaking waves. If you have a sore arm or are just feeling tired, why not try a kite?
Kite Fishing is a technique of fishing that involves flying kites, and using the kites to suspend live baits on the top of the water. Charter fishing boats have been using a long time to hook up with some of the species that swim in the sea.
Live bait is required for kite fishing. Herring, sardines, and mullet usually work. You can try other baits but these survive better than others.
Selecting a spot to fish is always a challenge no matter what kind of fishing is in order. You can kite fish for a boat or from shore but, you're mostly immobile when using a kite. You'll drift whichever way the current takes you and you can only make small corrections with your engines so, you can save some gas by fishing with sand beneath your feet. A good area is where there is a rip current with fairly warm water that changes slightly in temperature. Mix that with an area over an old ship wreck and you'll fish all day!

To make thing easier on yourself it's important to choose the appropriate kite for the day's conditions. The optimum wind in which each kite should be flown in is usually listed on the papers that come with the kite.
