Learn to tie flies
June 20th 2008 00:32
There's some interesting videos on YouTube these days for anyone who likes to tie their own flies.
You can find a lot from all the information floating around the Web in general and YouTube in particular but this guy seems to know what he's talking about and gives some real world suggestions as he goes along.

Here's Part 1 to get you on your way with a simple fly.
And this is Part 2 with something more challenging.........
Here's Part 3 with another fly.......
Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

Guess what - you almost single-handedly converted his mindset on what the net offers and won a new fan at the same time.
Now if only I could get him to remember his log in.

I don't know WHY I never though of that! I'll never look at fly fishing the same.

*LOL* I have MY password written down!
On a personal note, you flatter me! There are a LOT of fishing blogs out there but they come and go fast, too. The other problem, I think, is that they are too localized. It's good to know what's going on but, does a guy in Sydney really want to know what kind of lure a guy in Minnesota used to catch a fish that may not even exist in Oz? I think not--but, then again, it's MY blog! *L*
Have a good one and thanks for the kind words!
BTW--If your dad likes this guy--have him Google they guy's name because he has some intermediate videos also. Like I said in the post, he seems to know what's what and throws in some real world suggestions now and again.
