How to make a lure mold

Here's a video on how to make a lure mold that won't break the bank.
Over the past few years, I've been on a quest for the ultimate home made mold and this is probably the most cost effective. The drawback to something like this is that you end up with a flat side where the mold material is poured into the mold.
On the other hand, you can have the same gripe with some store bought molds.
Additionally, many soft plastics on the market have a flat side so, I'm being a little picky.
