My take on the Loch Ness Monster
February 22nd 2009 01:24
Is a post about the Loch Ness Monster really about fishing? I'm not sure but, here we go!
Granted, this doesn't look a whole lot like the Loch Ness Monster but a first glance... Maybe from the top???
UFO's, Bigfoot, Nessie, if any of those are the subject, I'm there! That's why, when I was cruising the Web the other day and ran across the accompanying photograph I was sucked in.
Someone is probably going to ask me something like what bait would you use to catch them. I'm not ashamed to say, "I have NO idea!'! Anything that deep, I'm not sure I'd want to dine on it! For what it's worth, this creature is as new to me as it is to a lot of people reading this!
For generations, this photograph from the 30's was THE picture of Nessie but, it was later proven to be a hoax.
Speaking of the Loch Ness Monster, I was watching a program the other evening and they were doing an episode from the premise that Nessie is dead. That's a shame but you have to look at it like this, the legend has persisted for generations so the creature, if it does exist, it must reproduce and since it takes two...
My opinion is a little more simplistic. First of all, searchers weren't sure what they found. We're talking science here, folks. Don't you think a discovery such as this might stir a little excitement in the scientific community? Secondly, don't you think researchers should do some studies if something was found?
I forgot--we're living during a economic downturn. Maybe the funding isn't there.
Until next time--watch your line and watch yourself!
