Australia spawns new species
September 20th 2008 01:07
I saw something about this on the news tonight and though I'd pass along this link!
Here ya go!
It's always encouraging when "new" life is discovered.
It's hard to imagine that in this day and age of technological and scientific advances you can still find undiscovered life!
The say life evolved from the sea. Considering that, it's kind of ironic that so many discoveries of new life are in the sea!

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

I love hearing about new species and it shows how very important it is for this kind of research to continue and for the world to realise that we have to look after our ecosystems. The Great Barrier Reef is under threat at the moment. Maybe this kind of research will highlight the importance of saving it, and others.
Great stuff!

Thanks! Glad you appreciate it. I think it's amazing that they find this kind of stuff in "developed" areas. Within the past year they 57 varieties in Europe. Now there's this. Aside from the fact that it's encouraging these new species are discovered in areas we thought were covered instead of the Amazon or some remote jungle area.

Also passing your site name onto my brother, the biggest fishing nut I know. It was even in his wedding vows! Hahaha

Ya got that right! I was wading in the surf three or four years ago and something brushed my leg. Scared the crap out of me--never did find out what it was!
