Fishing in gym class--Physh Ed?????

I ran across another interesting article on the ESPN Website the other evening. I grew up in West Virginia and remember doing a little fishing in Phys. Ed.

It seems like this money could do a lot of good for a teacher if it goes right to them instead of going to the school and THEN to the teacher.

I don't think I'd want the responsibility of taking kids on a boat but I remember we all realized the danger of hooking ourselves or friends.

Check this out...
I SORT of see the point of this--it makes the organization look good. Realistically, I have my doubts. It was no big deal taking kids out to fish, but boating??? It's going to take over $2,500 bucks to buy life jackets!
