Here are a couple reports about another giant South American fish-- the pirarucu.

James, I knew that the average length of Pirarucu is about 2.2 meter. However, some of them might be able to grow up to 3 meter or more!

Can you imagine something that big swimming around in a river? Every time I think of something that big I think of sharks!
