April 8th 2009 12:22
Children may squeal but parents have to be tough because Pure Fishing Inc. of Columbia, S.C. is recalling over 2,500 kid's fishing kits because the label contains too much lead according to reports from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The Shakespeare Casting Game and Fishing Kits have a red and blue rod and reel and red foam targets. Kits were sold in the latter part of 2008 through January of 2009.
Parents can contact Pure Fishing for free product replacement product or full refund. You can reach Pure Fishing by calling (800) 466-5643 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit their website at purefishing.com.
Until next time--watch your line and watch yourself!
