Weekend tip--Make your own red hooks

February 2nd 2008 07:17
If you buy into the theory that fish are attracted to red hooks, rather than running out and buying all new hooks and lures, here's a little trick to save some money.

All you really have to do is use a red permanent marker and color the hooks before you cast your bait or lures. You can even carry one in your pocket when you're on the water. Just be sure the hook is dry before you start marking it and you'll have it made!

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!
