Shark Fin Soup Boycott

The cruelty of shark fin soup has been realized by at least one Hong Kong couple who recently neglected to include the dish in their wedding menu.

In many instances fins alone are removed from sharks and they are then thrown back into the water to drown while the fins are sold as a delicacy supposedly to boost sexual potency, prevent heart disease and cholesterol, or enhance skin quality.


The action of this Chinese couple goes against centuries of tradition but, it may help save the world's dwindling supply of sharks.

James. I always hate to hear of such cruelty. The practice should be anandoned. and let the sex work itself out, what's the matter with people if they can't do just what comes naturally. Insanity.

I agree. Since starting this blog, the one thing I read about most is the plight of the sharks. This is a very graphic example!
