SIght fishing is easy

Bass, carp, bone fish, flat heads, or even pan fish. The thing they all have in common is that you can sight fish for them.
What is sight fishing? A good definition would be seeing the fish you plan to catch, as you catch it, and what happens after you catch it. It can be a lot of fun. But, it can also be pretty darned frustrating. Few things are worse than seeing a fish swim up, sniff your bait, and then swim away!
What kind of bait do you need for sight fishing? Simply put, it's the same bait you would normally use. Same tackle. Same everything. All you need is shallow, fairly clear water so you can see the fish as they approach your bait. And, of course, it doesn't hurt to have the best polarized sunglasses you can afford. Polarized glasses not only cut the glare on the water, they also make it much easier to spot fish.
Watching the reaction of fish as you try to hook them is almost like going to the aquarium. Even if you thrive on the exhilaration of landing a big fish, you can learn a lot from sight fishing for pan fish and you'll be on your way to being a better angler.

Until next time--watch your line and watch yourself!

Is Why
My favorite lure; snagging hook #9, or a small concussion grenade.

Don't go over a size 4 unless you go after King Salmon and then you can use a 2/0 grenade!
Good to see you!

James, you're the good looking dude I was referring to, there's so much tripe on Orble now, it's hard to find people, especially nice ones.
Stick to your fishing.

I don't blog as Raven any more, but I'm sure you've noticed that Nevar is a backwards raven. It's nice to see you.
