I like the question posed by this article, "Do you have these in your tackle box?"
Reading between the lines of my posts, you'll find I'm not big on "advancements" in angling.
However, I was drawn to this article because it mentions the Mitchell 300 reel. You can get these things for a song at yard sales and the like and they are like a TANK! To give you an example, the ones I have (and most definitely use) are vintage1946-1957 and 1958-1970. I sold one on eBay a couple years ago that had a matching box and that was my introduction to vintage tackle collecting. Collectors must have more money than sense!
