How to tie a blood knot

October 31st 2008 03:12
Here's a good video I found on tying a blood knot.

I talked about this not that long ago but the video wasn't available then and it may make things clearer.

I like the blood knot because it can be used by fly anglers, or fresh and salt water anglers.

This a real handy knot to join two lines of similar diameter! Further, once the knot is secure, you can trim the tag ends and end up with a knot so smooth that it still slips through the guides on your rod without impeding your cast.

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!
