Weekend tip--Watch the tide

February 16th 2008 06:46
When you're fishing the surf, bays, or most salt water, your fishing can be more productive if you keep an eye on the local tides. Predatory fish prefer to feed in the shallows as tides come in and expose more hunting grounds. The best fishing is usually about and hour before and after high tide.

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

I've got my rod, I'm watching my line, the tide is lapping around my toes, how do I tell whether it's coming in or out and what's your angle?

James, I don't really think I was born to fish, perhaps I need a boyfriend to go with.

Don't worry I'm not a predator of fisherman, especially married ones and most especially those living on the opposite side of the world.

*S* Sounds like you need to surf fish. I loved doing that! The best part is when you're all done, you can take a dip--either for victory or, in my case, to drown your sorrows!
