Weekend tip--Keep your rod tip low
February 23rd 2008 07:47
It's pretty thrilling to see a big fish leap from the water after you hook up. It's NOT so thrilling to see them leap and throw off your lure at the same time!
It's no secret that keeping your rod tip high can prevent snags but after you hook a "big one" you'll be better off to keep that rod tip low and make it a little harder for your catch to jump!

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

After a while, you find that fishing is a lot of contradictions. This is no exception! Remember to keep you rod tip UP to avoid snags and then lower when you hook up.
