Line tip

Here's some good advice on changing your line. I like his method for doing it. I don't feel so cheap! For those of you who are metric to the core--a yard is slightly less than a meter. The last line I bought was a 250 yard spool and that came to 228 meters.
AND--notice he's careful about disposing of the old line!

Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

I used to love going fishing with my dad when I was younger. I tried it again recently. We decided to have a competition to see who could catch the most and the winner made $10. I don't bait my own hook, never have, it's pretty yucky for a 21 year old female. So dad was looking after that for me. We sat there for a couple of hours. I managed to snag a tree. Then I found out that he never even put any bait on my hook. I should win by default right? I caught a tree - with no bait - and he never said what I had to catch. What is your professional fisherman opinion?
Cheers,
Bec

Knew I'm cheap??? I prefer the term "frugal." I haven't gotten to fish yet because of the weather-nice all week and snows on the weekend! The river where I fish is high, fast, and muddy anyway! I love spring fishing tho! It's easy pickin's!

Fish are organic. Trees are organic. I'd say things are in your favor. Also, catching anything without bait is no small feat!!!! OR you could call the competition null and void due to a technicality.
