Ya don't need a boat to fish!
May 5th 2008 00:28
If you believe the guys on TV, you'd think you MUST have a boat to fish. That's not the case and I wish more people realized it. BUT, since some of those fishing shows are sponsored by boat companies, what can you expect?
I probably spent the most unproductive 30 minutes of my life watching guys on TV fish without a boat. I didn't learn a darned thing but it was so refreshing to see some average guys tossing out their lines that it sucked me in.
This video shows that there are still plenty of fish to be caught even if you don't have a boat.

With the rising cost of gasoline taking a bigger chunk of discretionary income, I wouldn't be surprised to see a LOT of boats sitting in driveways with "For Sale" signs on them.
Until next time--watch yourself and watch your line!

I think it's some kind of conspiracy by the boat makers. I thought it was pretty evident!

Funny you should say that! In keeping with the theme of National Boating something or other--I have a post on that later in the month. I've only done it ONCE and it was one of the best things I've ever done. Much better than a boat!!!
