37 pounds of plastic found in dead whale

November 13th 2013 01:45
It's a sad comment on what Man is doing to this Earth when 37 pounds of plastic is discovered in the stomach of a dead whale but that is exactly what happened this past summer according to this article. (In case you're wondering, that's almost 17 kilos!)

After 50 years, you don't find lighters like this.

This report was even more of a downer when it was brought out that more aquatic animals, in this case birds, are victims of our pollution.

Somehow, this whole story comes as no surprise. After all, an island of garbage was discovered back in 2009.

To further toot my own horn and while we're talking about disposable plastics, let's look back at this post from 2008. That was five years ago but, somehow, its relevance is rearing its head once more.

Remember to take the hooks outta yer pocket before ya sit down!
